The Plot to Kill Jesus
"Why should the whole nation be destroyed? Let this one man die for the people." (50)
This passage is about how the Pharisees see it is time to kill Jesus because he has performed too many miracles and if word got out, Jewish temples and perhaps all Israelites would be destroyed by the Roman empire.
Jesus did die for the people. He died for us, not just literally and physically, but so that we could have eternal life with God. What a blessing that is. Hallelujah!
2 Timothy 2:22-26
An Approved Worker
Based on the commentary, God wants us to live a pure life. This consists of 4 things:
- recognizing our potential to sin
- avoiding influences that could inspire lust
- pursuing faith, love and peace
- spending time with other believers whose hearts are pure.
