Evidence that the End is Coming... The Heart of Humanity

John 12:1-11
Jesus Annointed at Bethany
In this passage, Jesus has dinner with Lazarus, whom he has just raised from the dead.  To honour him, Mary used expensive perfume to wash Jesus' feet. Judas was alarmed and scolded her for using the perfume.  Judas said, " It should have been sold and the money given to the poor" (5).  Jesus then says, "Leave her alone.  She did it in preparation of my burial.  You will always have the poor among you, but I will not be here with you much longer." (7) Because so many people were wanting to see and follow Jesus, the Pharisees decided it was time to have him killed.  They also decided to have Lazarus killed since Jesus had risen him from the dead.

This gives me a glimpse of what people via Satan can do to extingish people's faith.  I pray for courage Father.  Yesterday I shared my short 5 minute video to Cambodia with my class.  The is a lot of "Christian" content in there.  I pray for your hand of protection from parents and school board members who may, under the direction of Satan, come and try to "extinguish" my work.

2 Timothy 3:1-9
The Dangers of the Last Days
Wow! This passage is describing how people will act in these days before Christ comes back.  It sounds like the Day is near for his return:
For people will only love themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and forgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control; they will be cruel and have no interest in what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God." (2-5)

We are told to stay away from these people as they will rub off on us. These people have Satan's power and easily harm the vulnerable.

So Father I ask for your shield of protection from these soldiers of Satan. I pray that you will keep me pure and strong.
