The Courage to Say Grace

John 12:20-36
Jesus Predicts His Death
In this passage, Jesus tells the people that the Son of Man will die, so that we can all become children of the light.  His death will bring glory to God.

2 Timothy 4:1-4
Preach the word of God.  Be persistent, wheather the time is favourable or not.  Patiently correct, rebuke and encourage your people with good teaching. (2)
The passage continues with people wanting to follow lies, to follow what is pleasing to their own ears, rather than what is meant by God.  I see this in our acts of selfness and greed.  I'm always seemingly cautious when bringing up God, here I am asked to not do that.  If God is central in my life, He will show himself through me at all times.  I should not be afraid or embarrassed to share my love of Him with everyone...

I should feel OK to pray before my meal in the staffroom... Father, I pray that you give me the courage to do this openly without feeling awkward so that I can do what is right in your eyes.
