Christ is our Direct Line to God!

Acts 5:26-42
Apostles Meet Opposition
"The Messiah you are looking for is Jesus!" (42)
The Pharisees wanted to kill the apostles, but it was Gamaliel that told them not to.  For he said, if these people are false prophets, eventually those who believe will wither to nothing.  But if what they say is true, God is behind them.  For the Pharisees to kill them would be to go against God, himself!
And so here we are, over 2000 years later, still proclaiming the Gospel!  So it must be true!

Old Rules About Worship
This passage is how people used to worship God in the presence of the Ark of the Covenent.  Only the most high priest could present offerings to cleanse the sins of many.  This is no longer the case.  By professing our faith to Christ, our sins can be cleansed.  Christ is our direct path to God.

Father, thank you for sending Christ to take away the sins of the world and allowing us all access to you via Jesus.
