John 6:22-46
Jesus, the Bread of Life
'But you shouldn't be so concerned aobut perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking hte eternal life that I, the Son of Man, can give you. For God the Father has sent me for that very purpose.' (27)
'This is what God wants you to do: Believe in the one he has sent.' They replied, 'You must show us a miraculous sign if you want us to believe in you. What will you do for us?' (29, 30)
'I am the Bread of Life. No one who comes to me will ever be hungry again. Those who believe in me will never thirst...those the Father has given to me, will come to me and I will never reject them. For I have come down from Heaven to do the will of God, not to do what I want. (35-39)
This is a powerful passage for me as it tells me that even Jesus must follow God's will. This lifetime is not about "fairness, equality and personal gain in material things". I know Jesus is the bread of life. I pray that he will continue to fill me up so that I am not hungry, but rather stuffed full with the Spirit.
1 Timothy 4:12- 5:2
This passage of scripture reminds me that age does not signify wisdom. My life is to be my living testimony. I am to live out what I teach and preach. I am to show God's kingdom via my love, faith and purity. I reminded to read Scripture and use my spiritual gifts. God will save me and those who hear me. I am to treat all like family...
I thank God for these words as I know how to better approach people who have 'rubbed me the wrong way'. I pray for your continued strength. Thank you for loving me!
