God Never Stops Loving

John 5: 1- 24
Jesus Heals a Lame Man and Claims to Be the Son of God
Jesus told him,' Stand up and pick up your sleeping mat, and walk!'
Instantly the man was healed! He rolled up the mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath day. So the Jewish leaders objected. They said to the man who was cured,' You can't work on the Sabbath! It's illegal to carry that sleeping mat!' (8-10)

But Jesus replied, ' My Father never stops working, so why should I?' So the Jewish tried all the more to kill him. In addition to disobeying the Sabbath rules, he had spoken of God as his Father, thereby making him equal with God. (17,18)

'I assure you those who listen to my messages and believe in God who sent me have eternal life.  They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.' (24)

This is rather ridiculous!  God doesn't stop loving us just because it's the Sabbath!  Nor should we shurk our duties.  Why should we stop feeding the hungry? This just shows us how twisted our minds can be, especially when we are blind to the truth or don't want to believe in it.  I thank God for being so merciless and loving. So I pray that God will give me wisdom to see His truth and not let me become blinded those who do not wish to see and believe or who cannot see and refuse to believe in you.

Leaders in the Church
This verse is about how an elders should act respectfully to honour God and the Church.

I have no intention of becoming an elder at this time; however, I will act in accordance with God's expectations as I want to best represent my love for God in my life.  So I pray that God will continue to give me strength to do what is right in His eyes so I do not tarnish His name in my own acts.
