My Sin, My Shame

Acts 2:1-13
The Holy Spirit Comes
On the day of Pentacost, 7 weeks after Christ's resurrection the Holy Spirit descended upon a group of believers.  They were speaking in other languages proclaiming God's glory and the work he has done.  Those in the crowd were astonished and bewildered, but passerbys believed they were drunk.

Hebrews 6:1-6
Once you call Christ your saviour and choose to follow Him, you cannot be expected to be 'saved' again - for you were/are already saved.  If you choosed to then abandon him, by reverting to your old ways, you will not be allowed entrance to the kingdom of God.  By rejecting Christ again, you have chosen to re-nail him on the cross holding him up to public shame, knowing that he is innocent.

Father, ask for renewed energy and strength today, as I seemingly have none. I pray that you will hold me up so that I will not appear "drunken", but rather, fully alert, representing your will and your glory.
